Bring
A water bottle, comfortable layers and a small towel if you expect to sweat. We dance barefoot, with no shoes on the dance floor.
Our first warm-up brings the Dance Temple practice into the room before the full Vancouver launch.
Dance Temple co-founder Naomi Jason will facilitate and soundtrack the journey from arrival to landing. Expect clear invitations, a musical arc built for the body and enough room to follow what feels true for you. There is no choreography and no experience needed. We dance barefoot, so shoes stay off the dance floor.
Our shared principles
Freedom works best with awareness. You are welcome to move your own way while helping everyone else feel comfortable doing the same.
The session starts with a simple facilitated arrival, rises through a DJ-led musical journey, then lands with a shared closing. Newcomers are welcome. Final arrival and start times will be added when tickets open.

This is a substance-free and scent-free space. Please skip perfume, essential oils and other scented products.
The dance floor is phone-free. If you need to use your device, please step into the foyer or outside.
Enjoy your own dance or move with someone else when the invitation is mutual. Look for clear eye contact and body language, and give people room to change their mind at any time.
We keep conversation off the dance floor so everyone can stay with the music. Step outside the room when you need to chat.
Kids are warmly welcome and remain in the care of their grown-up. Please keep them close, help them respect quieter moments and make sure they do not run across the dance floor.
Come feeling well, arrive freshly showered, keep your shirt on and wipe up any sweat you leave behind.
Listen to your body, respect the people around you and choose the level of movement that feels right. There are no steps to learn and no pressure to perform.

Facilitator and DJ
Dance Temple co-founder, room-holder and DJ for the Port Moody warm-up.
Naomi has helped shape Dance Temple from its roots. She brings facilitation and music together as one journey, creating a room that can build, release and land with care.
